I’m Not Lazy, Thanks – From a Serial Procrastinator

April 5, 2021 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

Hi everyone,

Missed me? No? I think the only one who actually missed me on this blog is, well, me.

It feels great getting back to writing after being away for such a long time. What I’m coming back with is a short message from what I’m calling a “Serial Procrastinator” – aka myself. I guess this is more of a piece to say to myself, rather than to you. But since I’ve made the decision to not hide behind my walls as much and try to really work on the things that I love, here’s a little text for you all.

Studying in Germany: A Guide for International Students

November 6, 2019 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

My dearest readers,

As promised, I bring forth a type of “guide” to studying in Germany for international students. While most facts in this post are related to Berlin and come from personal experience, many of the tips are also pertinent for other cities in Germany as well. I have researched long and hard before choosing Berlin, and I will try to include as much information as I can.

Slaves of happiness

November 2, 2019 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

A written assignment for a class, that I thought I’d share with the world<3

From a very young age, we are encouraged to think about our future profession, specifically answers to the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?”.  We are exposed to a variety of professions, such as firefighters, doctors, teachers and the like. Finding the right path to take is often regarded as a crucial task in the beginning of one’s career, a door to your future grown self, so to say. But what we are rarely taught is that it is quite alright to not be fully engrossed in a profession that you have chosen. It is possible to change careers, courses of study, experiment and try out different adventures until you find something that resonates with your passions and desires. Such a change simply needs courage.

Hi Berlin

October 30, 2019 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

It has officially been one month since I arrived in Berlin to start a new adventure that I had been longing for quite some time. My search for a place where I could better “fit in” and not feel such an outsider brought me to one of the most culturally diverse cities in Europe. In German, Berlin is better explained as “Multi-Kulti”, clipped from the longer word “Multikulturalismus”, literally meaning multiculturalism. There are so many people from various backgrounds, that I believe Berlin is home to at least one person from every city in the world. Berlin is also home to both people who belong, and outsiders like me. And the best thing  is, we all live in harmony and don’t mind the diversity – literally tolerance toward various cultures is sky-high.

1 dress, 5 outfits

July 22, 2019 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

Hello my dearest readers,

I will start this post with a question: Do you have a dress that you just ADORE, but it may be a bit over-the-top for work or a casual day out?

Well, fear no more my lovies because I have prepared 5 outfits for that one special dress. All of these outfits are easily customizable and all of the pieces paired can be easily found in any store, keeping you in a budget and not having to spend those extra $$$, or just buying a whole new outfit.

You probably have most of these items at home already, which is even BETTER! The point of this post is also to help you beautiful people be stylish and fashionable with things you already own.

Një letër kushtuar dajës…

January 31, 2019 by Vesa Prapashtica 3 Comments

Dajë,

Shkove.

Why does the School still exist?

February 7, 2018 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

I started this blog post back on the 24th of November in 2016, at 5:39 pm,  like this:

“If everyone denies being part of the school, why does the school still exist?” – This was the quote which has kept me in deep thought for the last 2 days.

Since 2016, I have pondered of this quote on and off every few months. Now, finally, I’d like to share with you the reason why this “SCHOOL” has been running through my mind.

A Silent Cry: CHAPTER 2

January 31, 2018 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

So many mornings passed. The days were as monotonous as ever. I waited and waited for a surprise. Oh, how I longed for it!

One particular day, I had a feeling that something was going to happen. The past night’s sky was a little short of warriors. This made the sky look dark and melancholic. I wondered where the missing stars might have gone. Could it be that they were hiding and waiting to reappear brighter than ever? So many questions rushed through my puzzled mind that night. One thing I knew for sure was that tomorrow MUST be different.

2018

January 8, 2018 by Vesa Prapashtica No Comments

Well…

After more than a year of absence and neglect, I finally return to my beloved readers.

It’s funny how quickly days turn into months… and then… BOOM… a year. I wrote several drafts but never published them. Always trying to make my blog the best it could be, with the very little experience I have. Sure I can write, but I didn’t know how to design my website, what hosting is, css and a whole lot more that I have yet to figure out.

I am back, and this time for good. I spent countless hours designing this new website theme, and even though it’s still not EXACTLY how I want it to be, I’m slowly getting there. 2018, I’m going to make you the best year yet! This year is going to be centered around content creation, a field which I have become insanely fond of. Writing blog posts, short stories, inspirational material, designing, making videos and SO MUCH MORE.

Of course, I still need to graduate this year… so that’s going to consume a huge chunk of my time. But hey, I’ve learned to work under MASSIVE time pressure… mainly because I procrastinate like crazy. Graduating will definitely be a highlight of 2018.

So to my dearest readers, buckle up! You’re going on the 2018-ride with me!

Love and pancakes,

V

A Silent Cry : CHAPTER ONE

November 19, 2016 by Vesa Prapashtica 2 Comments

In nights like these, in which the summer warmth coincides with the elegance of the nocturnal breeze, you can’t help but think of all that has happened during the day and wish how things could’ve gone differently. Somewhere in the world, in this overcrowded home of 7 billion people and numerous other inhabitants, there is one person who does not feel a sense of belonging. That person is me.

My name is Sole. My age is irrelevant. My story, on the other hand, is.

I believe it is no coincidence that I was named with a noun that is synonymous with the word alone. My parents thought it would mean I was unique. Clearly, that isn’t the case. I have never been one to have many friends – in fact, I never had any friends at all. Every time I spoke to someone, they would find a way to get rid of me. They either made up excuses or they just looked at me as if I was this alienated version of a human.
